Refund Policy

The merchandise we offer has been carefully selected and accurately described to the best of our ability. Our hope and intention is that you will be pleased with your selection. Should you find, however, that you are not satisfied with anything purchased, it may be returned for a replacement copy, exchange, credit, or full refund (less the shipping charges) under the following conditions:

1) If an item is unused and unopened - still sealed in its original shrinkwrap - it may be returned for exchange or credit.

2) If an item is defective it may be returned for a replacement copy of the same title only.

We regret that we cannot allow returns for the sole reason that you did not like an item.

Definition of 'Defective'

In determining whether a recording is defective, be aware that certain irregularities are normal and do not constitute a defect. Sound quality is one of these. For example, CDs that are reissues of old 78s typically have a certain amount of surface noise that could not be removed from the master; and field recordings by their nature are made under conditions that are less than ideal, a fact which may be reflected in the sound.

Occasionally, on some discs in some devices it may prove impossible to 'rip' one or more tracks to an mp3 file, even though the disc contains no copy protection software. In such cases, all copies of the recording will do the same thing. Provided that the the disc plays fine in a CD player, this is not considered a defect by CD manufacturers. We cannot return such items to our suppliers as defective and so cannot accept returns for them ourselves.

If a CD or video is genuinely defective it will be replaced. You must inform us of exactly what and where the defect is (for example, "skips on track 11 at 1:06" or what have you).

Returns Policy

1) In the unlikely event that you receive from us an item damaged in shipment please notify us immediately. Do not return any damaged item until you have notified us first and received authorization to do so.

2) Any items you return must be sent within 5 working days of the date they were received.

3) Items returned must be well packed and insured. Credit cannot be allowed for items returned which were damaged in shipping because the customer packed them poorly.

Shipping Policy and Rates

All Ground Floor Music packages are shipped using Canada Post Ground service.

Within Canada, you can expect to receive your order within 10-12 business days.

In the United States, you can expect to receive your order within 10-12 business days for major metropolitan areas and 2-3 weeks otherwise.

Internationally, most orders will be received within 4-6 weeks.

Ground Floor Music is not responsible for customs charges or other costs that may be applied to your order, nor will we misrepresent the contents of any package for the purposes of attempting to circumvent such charges.

Please note that all Canadian orders are processed in Canadian dollars. All other orders are processed in U.S. dollars.
